We think so!
We're collaborating with Steak & Honour, one of the biggest names in Cambridge
This is the most exciting collaboration for me. From day one I’ve wanted Oscar’s to be the Steak and Honour of pizza, so it felt like a huge milestone when they agreed to collaborate with us. I’ve always rated what they do, and everyone in Cambridge does. They are so uncompromising in what they do and keep things so so simple, it’s no wonder they’re one of Cambridge’s favourite independent food businesses.
These creations are only available for a short amount of time, so you won't want to miss out!
The Sid Vicious Pizza
I sat down with Duncan, Store Manager of Steak & Honour, to create a pizza that fully encompasses the best of their burgers. The obvious place to start was with the Sid Vicious, his favourite burger.
For the pizza, he's opted for a thin scraping of tomato sauce on our 72-hour fermented sourdough base, topped with mozzarella and chunks of the signature Steak & Honour ground beef patty with pieces of Roquefort. After blasting in the oven, it’s finished with buffalo sauce and rocket. YUM.
And of course, we have veggie and vegan versions too.
You can get the pizza at either of our locations for dine-in, collection or delivery. Just tap one of our locations below, or Uber Eats.
How cool are the pizza boxes for this collab? We've worked with local illustrator, Tim Biddle @biddle.illustration, who's absolutely nailed this design. I love how detailed it is, made up of all the elements that make both brands so special.
The Meat & Smokey Burger
We didn't leave things at a pizza! I got to create my very own burger too! This was super cool, as I've never created a burger before. I worked with Steak & Honour’s Store Manager, Duncan, to make sure the true spirit of Oscar’s really shines through, so where better to start than with our best-seller, the Meat & Smokey?
Loaded on top of a caramelised beef patty, it’s got homemade hay smoked ricotta, homemade sweet chilli jam, basil, rocket and a slice of fresh mozzarella. Trust me, it’s GOOD.
During testing we found the ricotta had to be a lot smokier to compete with the caramelised beef patty, and the sweet chilli jam needed a little more body so we added pectin to make it set like a jam. And it wouldn’t be a true pizza-burger vibe without rocket and basil salad.
